This vehicle is one of the many derivatives of the M113 armored personnel carrier. This is officially designated a "Light Armored Recovery Vehicle". It was designed as a heavy lifting crane for barrel replacements of self-propelled guns. It saw use in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.
